    as i sit here in the silence
    my head is filled with thoughts of violence
    there are ones who would prevent me
    from those who say they love me
    the walls around grow closer
    as the air around me feels colder
    i look up hoping to see stars
    but all i see is chains and bars
    lord please we beg have mercy on us
    we pray that you awaken to reveal your almighty justice
